Prototyping with SketchFlow: Module 11

Using SketchFlow and SketchFlow Player to Track Feedback

In this module, you discover how to work with the Feedback feature using the SketchFlow Player and SketchFlow.

Adding Feedback in the SketchFlow Player
It’s important to remember that the concept of feedback is integral to Prototyping. Through various cycles of feedback, an application will evolve into a stronger final product. One of the goals of prototyping is to identify potential issues that might affect all parties involved: users, developers, designers, a marketing team, etc. Feedback can start at a small local level: between a Designer and Developer for instance, but then as the Prototype evolves it can also be shared with a larger Circle of reviewers.

The basic process for Feedback is as Follows:

  1. An individual adds feedback to a Prototype in the SketchFlow Player.
  2. This Feedback is exported from SketchFlow Player, then sent to the Prototype author.
  3. The Prototype author imports one (or multiple) feedback files into SketchFlow and reads the feedback using the Feedback panel.

In this exercise you will play the role of both the reviewer and the author to get a quick sense of the Feedback process in SketchFlow.

  1. Open the snowboard_online project associated with this module. Choose Project > Run Project to open the project in the SketchFlow player.
To add Feedback a user can work within the Feedback panel and use tools to draw on the screen.
  2. Navigate to the Checkout screen and Click inside the sample text of the Feedback Panel and type Can we put some prices inside the cart?

  3. Click the brush icon to enable ink feedback, then click the red circle. You can now draw on the screen.

Go ahead and draw some sample prices in the Shopping Cart.
Tip: Everything “drawn” on the screen is a separate layer and can always be hidden by clicking on the lightbulb icon.
  4. Click the CheckoutSuccessful state in the Navigate panel. There is a typo in the second paragraph.
  5. Click the highlighter tool in the feedback panel and highlight the typo yopur. Click in the Feedback panel and type the word Typo.
